The Decatur High School Marching Band, with their 2026 show titled \"Snapshot\", swept 1st place awards in our AA Class in the categories of music, visual, effect, color guard, and percussion culminating in a 1st place overall placement in AA. Out of 13 total bands competing on Saturday, our marching band placed 6th overall with a score of 85.7."},{"title":"DHS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA","text":"Bravo to the DHS Symphony Orchestra, the district's first, for their performance and results at the Georgia Music Educators Association's Large Group Performance Evaluation. The DHS Symphony Orchestra received perfect scores from all judges across all captions. Under conductors Mrs. Rosie Riquelme-Antunez and Dr. Ira Jenkins , the orchestra is comprised of the Wind Ensemble (top DHS band) and the Mastery & Advanced Orchestras (top two DHS orchestra classes).
